In her light
“In her light” is in collaboration with Black Country Women’s Aid and has been both a creative journey and a personal commitment to amplifying the strength, resilience, and dignity of women whose stories deserve to be seen and heard. Through each narrative, the project aimed to honour the individuality of the women involved while shedding light on shared experiences of survival, hope, and transformation. Working closely with those supported by the organisation has reminded Gemma of the profound power of visibility and connection. This project is not just about art; it is about solidarity. For anyone reading this work: you are not alone. These stories, though rooted in hardship, are also filled with courage and the unwavering will to heal and move forward. It is her hope that this work offers both recognition and reassurance to all who need it.
